India’s First Karnataka State Level Education Summit & Awards – National Karnataka Education AwardsTM 2014, a subset of National Education AwardsTM held at VTU Auditorium, RHCS Layout, Annapoorneshwarinagar, Nagarbhavi, Bangalore on 9th August, 2014
Bangalore– 9th August, 2014- CMAI Association of India and Visvesvaraya Technological University today announced National Karnataka Education Summit & Awards TM , 2014 duly AICTE, AIU (Association of Indian Universities), NIELIT (DOEACC), Government of India MSME/MNRE/DIT, NIXI, AIMA and various industry associations at VTU Auditorium, RHCS Layout, Annapoorneshwarinagar, Nagarbhavi, Bangalore, Karnataka.
This is for the first time in Karnataka. Hon’ble Shri Arvind Jadhav, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary & Chairman – KSTDC, Government of Karnataka, Bangalore inaugurated the same.
The College and Institutes selected out from this award are directly nominated to National Education Awards 2014. Students selected out of declamation contest on Alternate Energy & ESDM will get chance for free sponsorship to visit Telecom Exhibition at Singapore, Taiwan, China.
The CMAI National Karnataka Education AwardsTM 2014 were presented by a galaxy of VIPs including Hon’ble Shri Arvind Jadhav, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary & Chairman – KSTDC, Government of Karnataka; Hon’ble Dr. H. Maheshappa, Vice Chancellor, Visvesvaraya Technological University; Hon’ble Prof Prasad, Registrar VTU, Hon’ble Prof. Shri NK Goyal, President CMAI Association of India and from Industy Mr. Krishnan Ramanathan, Data Scientist, HP Technologies; Mr. Suneet Tuli, CEO Datawind; Mr. Saket Modi, CEO Lucideus; Mr. Rahul Sharma Director Vedanta Group and several representatives from industry associations
CMAI is providing skills and trainings for cyber security courses and cyber forensics. CMAI is also promoting vocational courses under AICTE- NVQEF as approved by HRD Ministry. There are 34 course lines in this and they are integrated with regular studies at seven levels from CLASS IX to degree. Students are not required to study additionally, bit the vocational courses are integral with regular studies.
In Karnataka there are several colleges and institutions which have come up across the State offering a number of courses in various streams like engineering, medical, business management, under graduate courses and many more. There are institutes who are focusing their energies on overall quality of education and making their students more employable so that they can make meaningful contribution towards making India a true superpower in the coming years.
CMAI and Visvesvaraya Technological University recognized the achievement of some of the institutions who have contributed significantly towards the growth of the education sector in India in the recent times for their betterment of Work in future.
CMAI is actively engaged in promotion of education, cyber security and vocational courses under National Vocational Education Qualification Framework, which is changing the landscape of our Country. This programme enables combining the vocational courses as a part of formal education and is duly approved by Ministry of HRD.
CMAI organizes for the last eight years NTA ICT World Communication Awards and National Education Awards. The awards would be presented by Dr Hamadoun Toure, Secretary General, International Telecom Union, Geneva and Prof Tim Unwin, CEO, Commonwealth Telecom organization UK with Minister of Communications and IT, India and galaxy of other VIPs. These awards are supported by AICTE, Govt. of India, MNRE/DeIT/DOT and all industry associations. Earlier CMAI has conducted State Education Awards for Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Punjab, Haryana, Andhra Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Assam and Odisha.
