“If you don’t fall asleep within 2 minutes of lying on the bed, then there is something you need to do that you didn’t. Your day’s tasks are incomplete. Your day is incomplete. ”
                                                                       -Anurag Dass Mathur
(Founder of Jazba Theater Group, DU)
The man showed me the reality in the first meeting . My journey with Jazba started and even ended pretty soon. The theater group continued and prospered and so did I.

“Social Media was for connecting with people, not to get addicted”

I was hit by sudden nostalgia , and I decided to look for my childhood friends using Facebook. With no idea of how they look like, now, what exactly their name was , and some faded memories, I tried. Somehow, I was fortunate enough to find my 12 year old pals. It was after several months of finding each other, I got a chance to meet one of them.

We sat in CCD, Kalkaji and talked about our lives, bit about our childhood and our current life. That’s when , I was asked to jot down my dreamlist.
“Dreamlist..?” , sounds interesting. So I began.
1) A nice bunglow
2) A big car
3) A loving family
4) An amazing job

The meeting went on and ended on a sweet note. I came back home happily, and rested, but I wasn’t able to sleep at night. Damn…! It was a tiring day, and meeting a friend after 12 years is itself a dream come true. I did everything I had to, that day. And then those lines at the top hit me .
I stood up and finally decided to raft that dream list yet again, properly this time. I :
1) Want to own the best and the most expensive cars and gadgets.
2) Want to have my home in every country. Oh yes, Everywhere.
3) Want to have my brand name . Want to BE A BRAND.
4) Buy the best metals, pearls etc.
5) Want to start and own the best schools (dancing and academics both)
6) Want my bank account to have infinite money.
7) Want to have all sort of luxuries and comforts.
I then redrafted it and began with my tiny winy wishes and wants. From getting a haircut in the BEST saloon to throwing a glamorous birthday party , it had everything.
Perhaps, alot of you must be having similar dreams. A lot of you might find it silly and might be the achievers of some of the things I am dreaming of. “ So many people are already above me, and I am dreaming to beat them…! Damn…. How will I .. ?” “ Oh chill, I am already having / doing so many of these. “ was what I thought.

I met my pal again, the next day. She was accompanied with her guy. I knew him too (old friends ,you see). Quite tin]mid in school is what I remembered about him. However, we continued with the dreamlist exercise and I was quite specific this time.
He then asked me a question , “Who is Supriya ?”
“Duh! A girl you dumbo.” was my reply , in a light mood.
“Oh yes. We know that. But who is Supriya ? DO YOU OWN EVERYTHING THAT YOU HAVE RIGHT NOW ?. “ He asked again.
Hell yeah … I was in a dilemma yet again… just then he kept the keys of his bike in front of me . ‘I OWN IT” , is what he said next. “I bought this out of my money, for my father on his birthday” , he expressed, keeping a cheque of Rs. 8 lakhs approx. (after the deduction of tax) in front of us. “I hold the conference of more than 100 people at a time” , told me that timid guy, with a twinkle in his eyes.
That was yet again a sleepless night for me . I was wondering “Who am I if the term “Goyal” is removed from my name .? “ I finally understood his question ‘Who is SUPRIYA !? ’ (and not Supriya Goyal).

I stopped here while I was trying to pen down this experience. I just don’t know how to conclude it. Perhaps, I am still looking for the apt , crisp and precise answer. I am still trying to make a mark. I am still having dreams, those BIG dreams.

“Dreams are not what you see when you are sleepless, it is something that doesn’t allow you to sleep.”

Let’s make sure, we spend each day getting close to our dreams. Let’s just go sleepless , unless we have done something that satisfies us . “If there is nothing you can figure out , then sit and read a book unless you are sleepy. Sleepy, in true sense.” ; is what Mr. Mathur quoted .
So, in case you are sleepless, sit up and make your dreamlist. Know what you want to do in life, what you want to achieve. And yes… pen down even those silly things which you think people might laugh at.
Even small achievements will give you a sound sleep, so don’t miss any chance. It’s a tough world out there. “Little things can make a big difference”.
Make sure you die with memories, not with dreams  … !!!
